Jeff Mortrude - Bass & Vocals
Brass Attack considers itself very fortunate indeed to have bassist/ vocalist/arranger Jeff Mortrude as a long-time member. In addition to his phenomenal bass playing and excellent vocals, Jeff is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in composition and arranging.
Prior to joining Brass Attack, Jeff sang and played bass for an astounding nineteen years with Rhode Island's legendary Ronnie Rose Band performing countless engagements in New England and throughout the United States. He has performed for US Presidents Bush and Clinton as well as first lady Barbara Bush. Jeff has also toured extensively throughout New England and the East Coast with Chuck Garrett and Company.
A highly respected and serious musician, Jeff is the "quiet one" in the band who is held in very high esteem by his fellow band mates as well as countless area musicians who come to check out his incredible playing with Brass Attack, and are quite simply awed by this man's great musicianship. We are lucky to have him indeed . . .
